Chelsea midfielder Ruben Loftus-cheek insists on not rushing his comeback from injury as his body which is his “weakness” is also his strength.
Loftus had his breakthrough season last year but was cut short to suffering from a ruptured Achilles and hasn’t made it back to the team.
He returned some weeks back but could only step up to outings with the U23s. However, the pandemic has caused more delay in his full return to the A-squad.
“i have managed my body and that’s what I’ve learnt so far. its working smart, working hard and paying much attention to the body ” Loftus said in a video before the outbreak of coronavirus with England rugby captain Owen Farrell and Adam Gemili discussing about his full fitness return.
“The mental side of been injured is hard because you go through tough times but it hardens you and makes a better player out of you” He continued.
“Thinking might go wrong or right. It takes practice, its a skill, to think right”.
