Former Liverpool and Ireland defender Mark Lawrenson is backing Liverpool to a 2-0 easy win against Chelsea on Sunday.

Liverpool suffered a heavy 2-0  loss in their first match in the Champions League on Tuesday to Napoli, making it their first loss since the beginning of this seasons campaign.

Winning their first five straight games in the Premier league this season, leading the table with 5 Points clear ahead of other league contenders.

Chelsea lost the Champions league opener to Valencia in Stamford bridge too on Tuesday, though they were impressive in their 5-2 win over wolves in the last week fixture with Tammy Abraham registering his first hat trick in the club.

“Arguably their game against wolves was their best display this season, they’ve been awesome but they’ve only done well in some parts, so consistency is what they’re searching for” lawrenson said.

“when you go out to play other big boys, you need to be fully concentrated on the game”.

Although Chelsea lost to Liverpool in the UEFA Super Cup, thanks to the penalty kick win.
