Bad international break for Ethan Ampadu and Mateo kovacic as they both got knocked down on Sunday when Croatia and Wales both met. But good fortune for Michy Batshuayi who bags his 16th for Belgium as they sting Kazakhstan.
Croatia struck an early low shot into Wales net credit to Nicholas Vlasic. Wales took time bringing on the intensity needed for the game until Tottenham’s Ben Davies went through on Kovacic’s back to play in Gareth Bale who slots in a controversial equaliser. Kovacic remained down after the goal and later received treatment but couldn’t come on pitch in the second half of the game.
Just some minutes into the second half, Ampadu was clattered from behind by Bruno Petkovic when he was trying to head the ball out. Bruno only got a yellow card for the offence but Ampadu remained on pitch for a long treatment before been subbed off. The Chelsea loaned was later seen in the welsh dug out later on his feet.
Early on Sunday sees Belgium extend their perfect run in the European Qualifier as they struck Kazakhstan with a 2-0 win.
Romelu Lukaku picked up a niggle and Batshuayi was tasked to lead the line and could only reply to that with giving the Red devils a lead in the 21st minute.
Marking his 28th match for his country, Batshuayi has scored 10 competitive goals and fourth in the European qualifier this campaign.
Belgium extended their win when Eden hazard picked up Thomas Meunier who cooly finished it in the second half.
