Chelsea lost 2-1 to Liverpool thanks to goals from Trent Alexander-Arnold, Firmino and N’golo Kante.
Its such an unfortunate day for the west London side on their home ground as they were struck by Liverpool following brilliant set pieces.
Chelsea and Liverpool exchanged a very good atmosphere of great balling, both sides giving a hot chase at each other, dragging and playing with very high tempo.
Liverpool’s Trent Alexander-Arnold netted their first goal in the 14th minute via a well shot freekick past Chelsea’s Goalkeeper Arrizabalaga right at the edge of the box.
Chelsea continued the game with same tempo even at the awareness of been indebted, but couldn’t hold off another free kick taken from the right side of the box finding the head of Liverpool’s special no.9 Roberto Firmino.
It was a dream stuff later on for Chelsea who roughly found a ball in the net from Cesar Azpilicueta but was later disqualified by the VAR officials who claim Mason Mount has found himself an inch into Liverpool’s offside trap.
The score ended 2 nil in the first half, but resumed later on with the current League topper still edging for more goals.
N’golo Kante miraculously found himself passing by opposition till at the edge of the box where he curled in the ball with a perfect right foot strike. Chelsea went on after that to frustrate Liverpool, trying lot of options to draw the game.
But the game was brought to an end in Liverpool’s favour.
