Frank Lampard is here at the Cobham to deliver another press conference ahead of our next game against Newcastle United.

Chelsea won Southampton in the last Premier League match before the International break. There has been series of occurrence in the break which might see some of our players inactive for the next game.

Here are series of questions Lampard was asked in the love conference.

Injury updates?

Kante got knocked in the international match so he’d be left out for about some weeks. Kovacic also picked a less serious one but he’s back in training and back in contention. Barkley is fit. Christensen is still on hamstring and could see him fit in two weeks. Rudiger is slightly back and he’s training progressively.

About the racist behaviours in Bulgaria?

I can remember playing there and can remember problems with England playing away in Europe. Seems like a progress in that the authorities are taking right actions now.

France and Kante

Well I’d say if there was a better communication between France and Chelsea over Kante’s injury, he might have been here to receive treatment earlier.

Newcastle?

Well, I respect the team a lot, seeing what they did in the past games especially against Manchester United. I think we should try to move the ball quickly and be alert to their threats.

Chelsea remain at home to welcome Newcastle United on Saturday  KO 15:00 (uk).
