Chelsea’s Mason Mount says he has kept tags on new Chelsea signing Hakim Ziyech from his playing time on loan in the Netherlands and cannot wait to start training alongside the Ajax talisman.

Ziyech who agreed a permanent move to Stamford Bridge in February although all football competition across the world has been put on hold due to the coronavirus pandemic which has created some confusion over when he will join the club.

Mount was asked during a Corona FIFA tournament combat if he was looking to playing with ziyech, he replied ‘Yeah, two years ago I was in Holland on loan so I knew a bit about him then and obviously how good he was and awesome he’s became. ‘So obviously it’s another amazing, world-class player joining the club. So yeah buzzing to work with him, train with him and hopefully play with him.’

The transfer is due to go through on July 1, but both the Eredivisie and Premier League could still be trying to complete their seasons then, with Ziyech ineligible to play for his new club until the 2020/21 campaign begins.
